15 Women - Exclusive
This isn't a retreat. It's a curated group experience.

WHAT THIS IS
A once-in-a-lifetime group experience
unlike anything you've done before
A Glimpse Into the Experience
Unhurried moments, unique outdoor experiences, and time to connect with yourself and others
Special curated activities that you wouldn't get by going on your own
Firepits, delicious meals, and unforgettable conversations
Connection that happens only in spaces like this
A private wilderness like nowhere else
THE DESTINATION
Vermejo sits at the intersection of impossible and real. Owned by the late Ted Turner and managed as a working conservation reserve, it's one of the largest private properties in the United States. Bison herds move through open meadows, eagles hunt over icy lakes, and the silence is a feature unto itself.
This is not a hotel with a nature trail. This is nature at a scale that recalibrates something in you. Vermejo's deep commitment to conservation and environmental stewardship makes it as values-aligned as it is breathtaking.

TRIP
LIKE THIS
I've been here. I know it's magical.
Brendan and I first came to Vermejo in January 2020. We were scouting it as a potential wedding venue and fell in love with it instantly. Admittedly, I haven't stopped thinking about returning.
What stayed with me wasn't just the scale (though 550,000 acres is almost incomprehensible until you're standing in the middle of it). It was the unparalleled natural beauty, the warmth of the staff, and the activities we'd never done before. We explored history on the property, spotted wildlife that felt almost impossible to see this close, and came away genuinely changed.
What sealed it for me was learning about Vermejo's deep commitment to environmental stewardship: the conservation work Ted Turner set in motion, the care with which the land is managed. This is a place that takes its values seriously.
I have been dreaming about bringing a group of exceptional women here ever since. That moment is finally here, and I can't wait to share it with you.

HOW GROUP TRANSFERS WORK
Darrah will work with each attendee individually to coordinate flight times and airports, aligning everyone with the group transfer schedule as much as possible. For those outside the group schedule, rental cars are a common option. Alternatively, airport transfers can be arranged directly with the venue at $650–$750 each way.
FAQs
-
March offerings include: archery, disc golf, geocaching, hiking, horseback rides, ice fishing (weather-dependent), mountain biking, shooting sports, snowshoeing, snow tubing, wildlife, history, and UTV tours. Two guided group activities each full day (Friday and Saturday) are included. The group will be polled on preferences before arrival, and the final itinerary will be built around that input and March conditions.
-
Yes, we'll work with the chef to make sure there are great options for you at every meal. We've been assured that there is a long-standing history of catering to the needs of various dietary requirements.
-
There's at least one special curated evening event that you simply couldn't have organized on your own (the kind of experience that becomes the most talked-about moment of a trip). Details forthcoming, but know it involves the whole group and is included in your rate.
-
Cocktails, wine, and beer are available at the bar throughout and settled individually at checkout. The bar is fully stocked at the level you'd expect from a property like this.
-
Yes. Vermejo has massage therapists on-site. Swedish massages are available in 60 or 90-minute sessions, billed directly to your room. After you register, we'll coordinate spa scheduling so you get the times you want. Let Darrah know early; spots fill up.
-
Yes, Vermejo's nightly rate approaches what you're paying for this experience for three nights, before you add car service, guided activities, and gratuities. You're getting all of that plus the curation, coordination, and 14 extraordinary women to share it with, for approximately what a solo trip would cost.
-
Yes, Vermejo will honor the group nightly rate on either side of our dates. Reach out to Darrah to coordinate. Transfers on non-group days are on your own (options include renting a car or hiring their drivers).
-
Yes, Vermejo has a landing area and private helicopters have come in from various cities. If you'd like to self-arrange a charter, that's entirely possible. We're not organizing this as a group, but it's an option for those who want to explore it.
-
All payments are non-refundable. This is consistent with Vermejo's own policy, which requires full non-refundable payment. If something extraordinary happens, reach out to Darrah directly, and we'll see what we can do. I also suggest purchasing travel insurance if there’s any concern about the policy.
-
March at Vermejo means cold mornings, crisp afternoons, and possible snow. Think layers: base layers, fleece, a coat, and waterproof boots or trail runners for outdoor activities. Bring different shoes for dinner (attire is relaxed even in the evenings). Don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, lip balm, and a reusable water bottle. A full packing guide will be sent well before the trip.
