You Don’t Have A Clarity Problem

I've worked with a lot of people who come to me stuck.

Stuck on a decision. Stuck on a direction. Stuck on whether to stay or go, say yes or no, make the move they've been circling for months (sometimes years).

Almost all of them tell me the same thing: I just need more clarity.

And almost all of them are wrong about what that means.

Here's what I've found, again and again: the clarity is already there. It's been there. They know what they want. They know what feels off. They know which version of their life feels like relief and which one feels like more of the same.

The thing standing in the way isn't information. It's permission.

Permission to want what they actually want, not what looks reasonable from the outside. Permission to slow down when slowing down feels like falling behind. Permission to outgrow something they worked hard to build. Permission to be ambitious and tired and uncertain, all at once.

So if you're in that place right now (circling something, waiting to feel ready, convinced you need one more piece of data before you can move) I want to offer you something different.

Not answers. Just questions worth sitting with.

What would you do if you already had permission?

What have you known for a while that you haven't said out loud?

Where are you waiting for certainty when what you really need is courage?

What are you calling 'not ready' that is actually 'afraid'?

If the decision were already made, how does your body feel?

Who taught you that wanting this was too much — and do you still believe them?

You don't need more time to figure it out. You might just need to stop arguing with what you already know.

To trusting yourself, Darrah
